I don't like playing against this deck.
Lots of cheap removal, and it gets a wide, tall, evasive board on a moment's notice. Those 1/1s can become 5/5 fliers in the span of a turn.
If we're gunna have aggro decks playing 12 1-cost removal spells, I'd like to see the quality of interrupt spells go way up yesterday. -
@JeffHoogland Is Shardcall still worth it in the budget version without Scion of Lyvaanth? It's still an on-demand Runic Candescence trigger and ticks up Flame Barrage, but it feels a bit odd to be effectively running 12 slow shards in a relatively aggressive deck, especially given its negative synergies with Guidance/Ice resources and the fact that it negates some of the shuffler's flood/screw protection.

There are multiple control decks in the format that are great against this candles list.

Not an expert and don't want to assume wrong, mind giving an example or two? Or are those the two control decks you mentioned in the article?
