    • New gold sink - Kismet Pack

After update shop sell Kismat packs for 30.000 Gold.

Each pack give one for the following items:

      Silver Talon Sleeve - Slevees
Mystic Naturlist (AA PvP card) Set 6 - U
Silver Talon Adjudicala (AA PvP card) Set 5 - R
      Tealwing - Mercenary
      Royal Stork - PvE card - R
      Twin Feather Hands - Equipment - R
      Royal Crib - Equipment - L
      Mindsnatch Raven - PvE card - L
      Snatch and Vermin - Equipment - U
      Raven's More - Equipment - L

I dont know what to think about the new gold sink but it is good we got a new gold sink.

AZ2 packs can also be bougth for 5000 gold but I dont think they will be sold much as they are cheaper in AH.

I am guessing a full set of the 10 items easyly cost 1.000.000 gold = 40 $ or more.

    • I think 25K gold would definitely feel better. I just like the number more. Getting multiples of the equipment is also a definite concern. I think an equipment selling feature would be very helpful to the game, allowing players to crush up their extra equipment into a handful of gold. Three options for that ranging from least work to most would be: have all equipment worth the same, which wouldn't really solve the issue with the packs. Have them worth a flat amount based on their rarity, which might work if they made all equipment from the pack legendary. Having equipment priced by rarity and source, which would obviously be custom built to fix this.

Random vanity items in pack is the new trend in games and i really hate it. In the past we had the possibility to buy specific AA common for a set price instead of finding random stuff. They should stick with that system and not this kind of gambling
In the end, no system is going to cater to everyone. One of the reasons I love the genre is the random chance of opening something awesome while doing mundane stuff.

I do hope they add some pre-defined cosmetic gold purchases as well, but I am glad they went with the packs as they did.

On the subject of these specific packs though... I do think they should have two items in them, one item would be either a card or the merc, the other either equipment or the sleeve.

Because as some people above have said... just opening the equipment is going to be a huge feelbad experience. While there will always be a 'worst roll' in any random situation, I do think having the worst roll be essentially worthless may make these packs less effective as a gold sink.

    • I bought 5 packs and got 4 equipment, 3 of which were the same piece. Needless to say, it felt like shit and a complete waste. Fortunately the 5th item was the sleeve, so I'll never spend a cent on those packs again, I'll just wait for everything else to bottom out to almost zero on the AH and buy it there.

It's a neat idea, but honestly not a very smart implementation. If it doesn't feel good, people won't use it. Having legendary PVE cards and cool AAs is great, but opening a ton of trash equipment that you can effectively never resell is just going to make it so most people don't bother. Making it so you get 2 items per pack instead of 1 could help, or lowering the drop rates on the equipment significantly, or something.

I've been saying for years now that CZE is badly missing their target of equipment being the chasiest items (despite Cory continuing to say it), because the drop rates are way too low, and you only EVER need 1 copy of an equipment. As a result, almost every piece of equipment in the game ends up at a complete rock bottom price from people who unluckily get multiples. The real chase items are the rarer PVE cards and AAs, since you need to get 4 copies of those and the drop rates are usually way way lower than the equipment drop rates. It's a system that leads to a lot of bad feelings in the attempt to get what you want.

I opened 22 packs and got way more copies of the PvE cards than anything else. And only two equipment.

Based on the AH, I'm guessing the rare gloves is the equipment you got 3 of, since it seems fairly abundant. And the two legendary equipment are by far the rarest.

The only happy with this system are the developers because, like it happen in other games, people love to spend big amount of money to find their loved vanity item.
I understand why they do this (the same why blizzard make vanity chest instead of simply sell item directly) but for me, the customer, this system is like a slot machine

Not true. i just told you I am relatively happy with it.

The system IS like a slot machine... and people enjoy slot machines. I don't gamble often, but once every couple years I enjoy going to a casino and sinking ~50 bucks into slot machines because it's fun.

If you go to a game store, they sell these wrapped things that have 15 pieces of cardboard in them. You don't know what you get in them, so they seem like a fairly good comparison. I hear they're used to play a game.

    • I'm actually quite happy with these things. Here's a summary of things I think they did right.

      1. Enormous amount of gold removed from economy.
1.a. F2P players more easily able to sell gold for higher prices.
      2. Sleeves are super easy to get. (Only untradable thing easily obtained)
      3. Something chase for people like me to go after.
      4. Quite nice rewards (cool merc, playable nice looking AAs, very cool PvE cards)
      5. The least impactful things (legendary equips) seem to be the hardest to get.
      6. Rare AAs aren't so common as to devalue regular silver talon adjucator.

I mean honestly I'm not sure what the people complaining wanted.

Unhappy with drop rates? Ok, I assume no one has a problem with the sleeves being very easy to get. Sooo... if you lower the drop rates of equip are you going to raise the drop rates of silver talon AAs and make adjucators worthless? Are you going to make it trivial to get the legendary equips? Are you going to make sure everyone has 10 tealwings? Where are you moving the percentage drop chance to make you happier?

Unhappy with the price? Why? If you're F2P this drastically increases the value of your gold. If you're a hardcore pvp only than why do you care at all. If you're a collector (as I am) I assume you're happy with more cool things to collect. I don't care about the price all that much as long as it's high enough to not ruin the market for adjucators, but being indifferent is a far cry from being upset.
    • ^OCD tells me 25000 is a better number than 30000, but otherwise I agree with you completely haha, Id also have been okay with 50000.

Pricey is not a bad thing. Id love to see gold be worth something, as would any FTP player. Also I dont *want* playsets of Ravens etc to be super easy. I want to earn and achieve chase loot to sell!
