Wasn't expecting to wake up and see this news, but what a wonderful surprise @HEXCoryJones. Respect to you for coming out and writing those words. I admit that it's been many months since I've played HEX, but it still remains the single game that I've put the most hours into in all my gaming years, and the prospect of a HEX 2.0 sometime down the line makes me very excited, so much so that I'll probably re-install this weekend and drop by to say hi to whoever is online.

There's a hemisphere other than the north, btw. I'm certainly staying warm here. Hot, even. Too hot, perhaps.

Great post OP. Really good read and expertly written. I haven't logged into hex for weeks and weeks. Partly I don't have time, but also I share all the same thoughts as many of us here. Well said @Eraia. I have more hours in hex than any other game, and more hours than a lot of games combined. I wouldn't have put those hours in if I hadn't thoroughly enjoyed my time. Whatever happens (and I'm refraining from being drawn into total doom and gloom), there is no sense of having wasted my time, or money for that matter.
