The harsh truth is on their own they will never be able to make a Hex 2 happen, because the way they treated their community in Hex 1 has destroyed all faith for the future. And its really sad, because it was a great game and even when the road became tough they could have made it, if they had informed their community and told us what was going on and what to expect and not expect in the future. Even now I would probably play and grow my collection, even if there is no new content in the coming …

Well no use beating a dead horse. Wish things would have turned out differently, because Hex was the most enjoyable tcg I ever played. And thats saying a lot from someone who started MtG at third edition and had a 10k collection with P9, dual lands yadadada at one time.

Nice idea, but if you believe anything will come of it you are probably delusional

  • Well judging by the amount of words (sorry didnt read) at least someone still cares. Wish Devs would put in the same effort.

  • We want real community interaction. We dont want weekly botposts.

  • Well its certainly gotten awfully quiet again. Guess celebrations were a bit premature.

  • Quote from Gwaelan: “Hey, would you please leave him alone? I know (from a professional perspective) that it can prove bad for your business, when you reply too much to threads like these. I‘m glad Cory replied to your first post and would love to read another Friday Update from him, but expecting a response to every mention of him on these forums is doing the game no good. (Sorry if that sounded too harsh, I love you.) ” In principle yes, but considering we havent heard from the Devs in over a …

  • Quote from Surly: “Quote from AceBladewing: “People aren't asking for their cards to hold value similar to MTG physical cards. Don't be silly. They want their cards to retain *in-game* value relative to the cost of purchase. That's perfectly reasonable. ” My original post was a response to Pofflord, who I should have quoted, and who sure seemed to be looking at this from a secondary market MTG-esque perspective. ” Well Hex had a very stable and active secondary market as you call it for the long…

  • Quote from Pandaemonium: “I agree with plotunus, the ah should be filled with cheap cards. Card value is now next to zero in real term dollars and the important thing now is to get cards so it can be exported when Hex 2 comes out (please God). ” And you actually don't see any problem there? Flooding the AH with cheap cards now and at the same time exporting a then totally broken economy into Hex 2? Please please please, Cory, dont listen to this insanity. Protect collection values (small as they…

  • Well okay granted, it will serve a purpose, but also at a very bad expanse for the future which I explained. And you can argue the point, but in my opinion thats not worth it. Besides I gave an alternative suggestion, that will work a lot better and involve players, it might even encourage some to come back, if at least to check their AH once in a while. Some might even stay to play a few games.

  • Yeah its pretty bad, but that doesnt mean we should make it worse, because... well why the heck not? There are other ways reviving aspects of the game without destroying more in the process. Thats espacially important, because Cory already said collections will carry over into Hex 2.

  • Quote from HEXCoryJones: “my only idea is we have someone on the team put up cool stuff a once a day at a low price so you can bargain hunt them... ” Please do not further inflate the market with artificially cheap cards. This is a collectible card game, maintaining value of ones collection is important. This game being in a bad spot right now does not mean you should go back on that. Besides I read you want to export card collections into Hex 2. Everything you fuck up now will carry over to a f…

Quote from AceBladewing: “No, it's not a chicken and the egg. The game's success is dependent on the developers, not third party tools. I just simply disagree with your premise. ” Well then you might argue that the developers should have provided a proper option to track your collection in the first place. They didnt, tcgbrowser did.

Well we can probably all agree on the fact that the core game mechanics, artwork or overall interaction of cards wasnt the problem. The pure tcg aspect of Hex was or is the best that is out there. What wasnt good was the underlying code, performance and stability. Plus there was a huge lawsuit and publisher change. Both would have cut heavily into profits and ultimately further development of the game. If they can pull of a Hex 2 with better code and without all the entanglements of the past, I …

Quote from AceBladewing: “Nah, other way around. When Hex becomes worth playing again, the sites will come back naturally. ” Well its the old chicken or egg problem. For Hex to gain any momentum these sites are vital, especially tcgbrowser.

If Hex wants any chance of revival we need those sites. Hope it works out.

  • Yeah, its a sad state of affairs. I bet they would generate a lot more revenue and more people would play, if they would just commit to hosting the servers for at least another 2 years. Even if they dont create new content or patch the game.

  • Quote from RoyG: “"Repetition is the mother of skill" Tony Robbins Dinobot is obviously Tony Robbins fan. ” Dont know about that, but considering the crap going on here Tony Robbins certainly wont be a Dinobot fan.

  • Only thing I can think of right now: Eat sh...!

  • Quote from Raptos: “I'm running out of ways to goad dinobot into deleting my posts, I'm about ready to just start posting porn. ” Depends on the quality, if its good porn please go ahead. Might become the best thing about these forums actually.
